Chillers for Lasers
We supply cooling systems for many industrial lasers for welding, cutting, and other processes.
Industrial, high efficiency lasers produce a vast amount of heat. It is necessary to discharge the heat from the system to avoid component failure. Water cooling guarantees long-term laser wavelength precision and the desired laser beam quality. The laser system is notably less impaired by thermal stress when cooled properly.
A reliable water chiller is the main and most important device used in managing laser temperature to insure high quality performance and long life of industrial lasers, medical lasers, military lasers, and other laser systems. Our Glen Dimplex Thermal Solutions (GDTS) portable chillers, rack mounted chillers, stationary water chillers and heat exchangers are completely self-contained devices, able to remove heat from the laser system heat-generating components.
Industrial laser technology requires precise automated processing for high speed and high accuracy cutting, perforating, welding, lab applications, and other specialized processes. Medical lasers require a broad range of parameter control for diagnostic and therapeutic medical applications. Medical and scientific lasers require reliable, precise temperature control for optimal quality of the laser beam.
Our Koolant Koolers liquid cooling systems are used to remove heat from today’s commercially available lasers and avoid overheating of critical components in both industrial lasers and medical lasers. Although there are numerous heat-transfer fluids used as coolants for the wide variety of applications; including medical lasers, military lasers, and industrial lasers, water is by far the most common coolant used. If the system is properly designed, a recirculating water chilling system provides an efficient, effective, and reliable means of cooling high-power laser systems.
Koolant Koolers water chillers are used to cool the following system components:
- Laser Medium
- Power Cabinets
- Laser Cutting & Welding Heads
- Power Meter
- Servo Motor
- Optics (CO2)
Since 1952 Koolant Koolers equipment has proven to be a reliable recirculating fluid chiller for most industrial applications, including many laser applications. We will build a standard system for you or, if needed, design to your requirements for size, portability, operating conditions, thermal load, and system footprint.
Designed for the industrial environment with a long service life in mind, our chillers are recommended for all types of laser processes.
